Day 1 | Travel to Columbus, Georgia
Today we enjoy a scenic trip through Central Georgia. Enjoy a stop in Plaines, the quaint home of President Jimmy Carter. Later you arrive in historic Columbus for a leisurely 3 night stay. Check into the first class Hampton Inn (or similar).
Day 2 | Sky High Balloon Festival / Mass Ascension / Balloon Glow
Breakfast is included this morning. Today is dedicated to the largest Balloon Event in the South… SKY HIGH at world famous Callaway Gardens. You will have an early morning sunrise event called MASS ASCENSION. See the largest balloon launch in the South. Later you will enjoy many of the special events at the Callaway Balloon Festival. This evening you return to the Balloon Festival for the highlight of the world class experience… the BALLOON GLOW. This is a special Balloon Illumination that is a sight to behold and one you will never forget.
Day 3 | Callaway Gardens Sightseeing
Breakfast is included this morning. Today is an exploration of the largest and most spectacular gardens in America. Your qualified local guide will take you on a coach tour of the incredible parks of Callaway. Some of the greatest gardens that can be seen anywhere are going to be in spectacular view. Your guide will also walk you through some of the many separate attractions including the world famous Butterfly Aviary. This will be another highlight of your visit to the Northwest Georgia Mountains.
Day 4 | Travel Columbus to Florida
While our leisurely trip was short, you will have experienced amazing natural sights from the Gardens and amazing man-made sights from the largest Balloon Event in the South.

Soar into September at the 18th annual Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival. The weekend kicks off with the extraordinary Friday Night Balloon Glow and continues all weekend long. Watch beautiful balloons in flight or hop in a basket for your own tethered balloon ride. There's something for everyone with a classic car show, disc dog demonstrations, a pyrotechnic skydiving demonstration, as well as a 5K Race and Triathlon event. If you're a photography buff, you can sign up for the hands-on "Mastering Night Photography" course. Plus, you'll find drink specials and sports on the televisions at the Beach Bar as well as some of Atlanta's top-rated food trucks throughout the festival. Cap off the weekend with a final balloon glow Sunday night on Robin Lake Beach. With this exciting line-up of events, surrounded by the natural beauty of Callaway Gardens, there's no better way to say "farewell" to Summer 2016. (OPTIONAL) Balloon flights and tethered rides typically take place one hour after sunrise and two hours before sunset. Pilots will do their best to make flights and rides available while maintaining safety as our first priority.

IDA CASON CALLAWAY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, built as a tribute to Cason Callaway’s mother, this magnificent house of worship is built of fieldstone quartz and features nature-themed stained glass windows. MR. CASON’S VEGETABLE GARDEN, this series of demonstration gardens spans 7.5 acres and produces everything from vegetables to fruit to herbs to flowers. MEADOWLARK GARDEN, for those looking for a peaceful stroll through nature, Meadowlark Garden which also houses the Holly Trail - is sure to please. THORNHILL HYDRANGEA GARDEN, flights of fancy await you in the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center, where typically 1,000 or more butterflies flutter freely about in one of North America’s largest tropical butterfly conservatories. The Day Butterfly Center is a living, dynamic, glass-enclosed environment in which a variety of tropical plants nourish the residents and new arrivals emerge from their chrysalides, dry their wings and begin their very first wing-beats. Every visit to the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified Day Butterfly Center is a new experience. The plant palette constantly matures and changes, and the butterfly population, comprising more than 50 species, fluctuates in diversity and density due to influences such as amount of available sunshine, season of the year, temperature and stability of the ecosystem.
